Collection: Ana Buales

Ana Buales is a visual artist from Argentine who has lived in Ecuador for more than a decade. She created a studio house in the middle of nature and  is is where her work was born. These works, mostly large format, create ambiguous stories between characters and elements, most of times focusing on the eyes, faces and the human body in general.

Since a figurative or non figurative piece, the proposal always prioritizes the chromatic palette and seeks the story from in a spontaneous way, allowing more characters or situations to emerge as the work progresses.

Her study -based on graphic design and visual communication- was complemented by plastic arts and her search varies from murals, portraits, to typographic proposals and poems.

Art then becomes a link between mute characters who found this way to come to light.

Pause / perspective / understanding of what happens there.
